Our Story
Being homeless, jobless, having no money, being incarcerated, being turned down from needed assistance, all these are things that have been very real in the life of YOURE Ministries Director, David Berna. Being homeless himself gave Berna an inside look at how life is in the homeless community. "I saw a need that wasn't being met. there were many christian organizations passing out food and clothing, but nothing was really aimed towards getting us off of the streets. The shelters just pushed us to get on government assistance, and that help was limited and took a long time to achieve," Berna said. "That's when my whole desire in life changed."
YOURE Ministries will be applying for Non-Profit status and expects 2020 to be an amazing year!
"...for I was hungry and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you took me in. I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me. I was in prison and you came to me...Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these, my brothers, you did it to me."
