Food For All?

Does YHWH have a diet for us?

   I've always wondered what happened to our 120 years. I never believed YHWH cares what we eat as long as its not to much. I LOVE bacon and to cut out pork chops or shrimp out of my diet WAS NOT HAPPENING! I thought that the muslims and jews were crazy! Surely no "God" would have us NOT eat such delicious cuisines! So I did the unthinkable; I read the Bible! This is a short little over view of what I discovered. 

 

   First let me state that neither Adam nor Eve was a "hebrew". The Hebrews didn't come to much further down the road, so right now their ethnicity and religion is nothing. Their mere beings at this point. These two beings are the ONLY ones with the BREATH OF YHWH in them and thats what seperates them from the other beings on the Earth. Now, I believe that Adam and Eve WERE NOT the first beings on Earth and I will post my study on that when given the ok from you know who.

   Ok, so, now that we got that out the way, lets get to our first point on said matter:

 

1. YHWH told Adam that HERB, PLANT, and FRUIT were to be used for meat (Gen. 1:29). Not going to twist that to prove any point. I think that is pretty cut and dry. YHWH literally tells Adam whats meant to be eaten. There is a more detailed list and we'll get to that in a bit.

 

2. Clean and unclean animals were specified long before "jews" were even around. When Noah was loading the Arch, we constantly say he did this by 2 (2 of each: male and female right?), but thats not true now is it? In Genisis 7:2 we'll read that Noah was instructed to take BY THE SEVENS clean animals, and by the twos UNCLEAN animals. So we got part of it right! But why did we neglect the key point? he only took the unclean animals by the twos so they can reproduce; why did he instruct Noah to take clean animals by the sevens? Food maybe? "Hold on Berna, God doesn't care what we eat!" I know. Or, so I thought. If Adam and Eve weren't a "jew", why didn't YHWH want them eating those other animals?

 

3. YHWH's first permission to eat actual meat is found in Genisis 9:3-4 and it makes a clear indication that unclean "flesh" (meat) IS NOT meant to be eaten. So there must be something to this if YHWH felt like he had to tell his special creation what they are and are not meant to eat. Clearly it has NOTHING to do with their religion because all they know is YHWH nor does it matter their ethnicity. YHWH created them and now hes instructing them on how to survive on his creation.

 

• If food "instructions" have changed under the "new covenant", why haven't the others (like sexual immorality)?

-because the new testament is in agreement with it?

-even if you still want to use the "he was talking to isreal" defense, as fellow believers aren't we grafted into them? Or is he talking to the pure breeds and not the "adopted" children?

 

• Deut. 14:21 states that foreigners and "aliens" among them may eat whats not for the "children of isreal". On the other side, Lev. 17:12 states that "no stranger among [them] shall eat blood."

 

   Could the breaking of YHWH's diet be the cause of our shortened life spans? I mean, you want your kids to eat properly don't you? Are you going to let your kids eat ice cream for dinner? I'm not saying that we HAVE to abide by this diet by any means. I'm going to heaven with a belly full of chops!, But I do, however, want to live according to our creators will and I pray for the strength to get fully in his will; diet and all.
